- Who can incorporate a company in Cyprus?According to Cypriot legislation, there are no limitations on who can incorporate a company, so basically anyone can do it.
- Do we need Cypriot shareholders and/or directors to operate?No and it's never been like this. The only thing that matters is that directors should be (or become) Cyprus or EU residents. This misunderstanding came from old legislation where in order to have substance in Cyprus it was enough to have Cypriot shareholder and director, but current substance requirements are looking into the essence (real place of decision making and business), not formalities.
- What is the procedure for opening a company?It is easy and straightforward process. You're choosing your company’s name and after its approval you would need to provide us with your documents. After, our partners are preparing the forms and Memorandum and Articles of Association and upon reception of signed copies, submitting all the documents to the Registrar of Companies. There is no need to be in Cyprus for the whole procedure.
- How long would it take to incorporate a company?Name approval process takes around 1-2 weeks and after, staring as from the date of reception of all the signed documents and it will take another 3-4 weeks to incorporate the company. There is also an option to speed up the process for an extra fee, if you're in hurry.

Newly registered company has to submit its first financial statement upon lapse of 18 months period from incorporation.
